Each jog I take has some memories: Sure, I bore my wife with them and even if one presumes she's listening, even I don't remember them for long.
Anyway, don't consider this a particularly eventful run, just one I decided to set-down in this space.
Due to events of the day, I didn't have the chance to go earlier in the day, so no 8-miler starting at 4:30 the day that daylight savings moved an hour of light from evening to morning.
I decided to do the 4.7 mile Village Loop, which is half streets and half bike path. Better to get the part where I share the road with cars out of the way when the light is greatest, so I did the road half first.
A lady with two dogs on leash passed by at about mile one. One was an English Bull Dog which made no impression on me. The other was a pitch black French Bull Dog. With his pointy ears and piercing eyes, he looked like evil incarnate, but his snub nose also made him look really cute too.
In the Village, as I was approaching Navigation Brewing, a couple, walking side-by-side were coming from the opposite direction, where it gets narrow. Thankfully, they were situationally aware and formed a single file. As we passed, I noticed that the man was wearing a Gonzaga sweatshirt. I wondered if they were from Spokane as I went past.
On the path behind the newish condo building, a man passed in a electric assisted bike and exited the path at the opening to the condo parking lot. Around the time his, presumably wife but maybe just female companion passed me, he was also even with me, because he had backtracked through the parking lot to his car, where he was loading up his bike. On one hand, the parking is for residents only, on the other hand, it was pretty empty.
Later on the bike path I passed who I call, "Mr. ANTIFA" because he wears all black, with a face covering helmet and zooms around, like a terrorist, on a one-wheel electric skateboard kind of thing. I should note here that motorized vehicles are not allowed on the bike path and there are lots of signs pointing this out.
