I Thought I Posted This Someplace

But can't find it, so I'm retracing my steps.

At the end of my last Boston Marathon in 2011, I finished close to this guy.

I didn't take the picture, since I wasn't above him and didn't run with a camera.  I have a vague memory, that I looked up the number and he was a bandit who quite possibly didn't run the whole thing.

Maybe I was wrong.  The BAA has,

Raines, John G.  With a time of:  3:39:05 and a bib number of 8311.  Which raises some questions:  My bib was 11060, so he should have started before me and was a few minutes faster, so how did we end at the same time?  Also, is the guy in the picture the guy with this name?

There's a Runner's World piece on him and they name him "Glen Raines", so that's close enough.

Added:  I'm pretty sure that I've seen some pictures from my first Boston Marathon, in 2009, where there was a woman in a Super girl costume nearby me at the start. I can't find this anywhere now, though I probably stupidly posted at Facebook, where it's impossible to ever find again.

Problems with Substack

The comment at the top says, "We’ve temporarily disabled your publishing ability because of potential problems with your email list. Please contact our Trust & Safety team here for more information."

But the email from Substack says, “Hi there,

Violet here from Substack Trust & Safety. Thanks for submitting this appeal.

Upon additional review we've determined that your publication is in violation of Substack's Content Guidelines and will not be reactivated.”

Throw me bone here. Please tell me exactly what’s problematic. So far as I know, I don’t have an email list and as far as content, I have over 2,000 posts, so telling me there’s a content violation isn’t really actionable.

What Even Is This?

Is social justice just another term for justice?

If so, why complicate things with an extra, unnecessary word? If the “Social” part meaningfully modifies “Justice”, then we can conclude that Justice and Social Justice don’t mean the same thing. Therefore, if one pursues social justice at the expense of justice, then effectively, one would be pursuing injustice.

What's Carlson Worth?

He was let-go Friday, April 21st in the afternoon.

Fox is worth about $ 1/2 billion per Dollar of share price and the share price has averaged about one Dollar/share less, immediately after his departure, compared to immediately before.  So he was worth about $500 million more than the present value of his compensation package.
