I snipped these segments of map from Google maps at the same scale and then aligned them according to latitude.  Montreal Canada is about as far north as Portland Oregon.  I just eyeballed this, so they may not be exact, but probably within 10 miles.

All of Washington is north of all of New England, except for northern Maine.
